A team assessment should help you do more than recognize your team in a description. It should help you understand a difficult conversation, spot a shared blind spot, or decide what to change before the next project.
Release 26 brings those next steps closer to your results. Since moving TeamDynamics into our own app, we’ve rebuilt the online experience around the questions people bring to it: How does our team work? Where do I fit? What should we discuss? And what can we do differently?
The four dimensions and sixteen team types remain your shared language. What’s new is how clearly you can explore them, connect them to individual preferences, and put them to work.
Understand your team at a glance
Your TeamDynamics starts with your team type, its illustration, and a direct description of how your team works. Clear bar charts show the strength of each behavior across Communicating, Processing, Deciding, and Executing. Each dimension explains what that behavior means in everyday work.
Strengths, blind spots, and ways to grow make the implications easier to scan. Definitions are available where you need them, and a compact quick reference gives you language to bring into a conversation. Updated illustrations make the sixteen team types easier to recognize and remember.
You can move between the parts of your results that matter to you. Start with the big picture, explore a particular question, and return to the overview without losing your place.
See where you fit—and how you can contribute
Your CoDynamics compares your personal working preferences directly with your team’s behaviors, dimension by dimension. You can see natural fit and potential tension together, rather than having to piece the comparison together yourself.
The advice speaks to you as an individual. If you prefer Informal communication on an Ordered team, for example, the question is how to make room for conversation while keeping others informed through the team’s established channels.
Natural fit has its own work to do. When you and your team share a preference, the guidance helps you recognize the blind spots you may also share. Alignment is a strength to use thoughtfully, not a reason to stop paying attention.
Coach each person with the team in view
Managers can see team members’ fit and potential tension across all four dimensions in one table. Select a comparison to understand the specific difference between that person’s preference and the team’s behavior.
In What it means, coaching guidance keeps that context visible. Suggested talking points help you prepare a feedback or coaching discussion: support people whose preferences differ, and invite people who fit naturally to help the team notice what it could be missing.
The experience reflects your role. Team members get their own CoDynamics and personal guidance. Managers and administrators get the team view and coaching context. Coaches and consultants with authorized access can select a participant and review that person’s CoDynamics alongside the team’s results.
Turn results into a useful team conversation
Discuss as a team gives Pro teams a ready-to-use Team Discussion Guide. Plan your session, then use full-screen presentation mode to work through the results together. Move from understanding the framework to exploring your team’s experience and agreeing on next steps.
You don’t have to build a workshop from a PDF. The structure is there, with prompts to help you discuss the results and decide what to try. Individual CoDynamics can inform someone’s preparation without becoming something they have to present to the group.
Leave with a change you can put into practice
Put it to work connects recommendations to action. Open a practice within the page, then turn it into a working agreement: what you’ll try, what progress will look like, who owns it, and when you’ll review it. Copy the agreement into the notes or tools your team already uses.
For Pro teams, a second section focuses on working with other teams. Choose another TeamDynamics type to explore differences that could affect a project, decision, or handoff. Don’t know their type? Start with practical agreements about information, decisions, ownership, and follow-up.
Solo turns the same idea into a personal action plan: a step you can take or propose yourself, and a sign that it’s helping. You can put your insights to use before the rest of your team takes an assessment.
Spend less time coordinating the assessment
The new app also makes the work around your results easier. Your assessment saves progress as you go, so you can pause and return to your draft. When your saved personal preferences are available for another team assessment, you can focus on describing how that team behaves.
For TeamDynamics Pro, organizers can track participation, manage invitations, and send reminders from the team workspace. Add participants as your team grows without asking everyone else to start again. Previous results remain available as new responses contribute to an updated picture of the team.
For coaches and consultants, a shared client workspace brings teams, invitations, assessment progress, and authorized reports together. Colleagues can coordinate client work in one place, with access to the reports they need for the conversation in front of them.
Choose how you explore—and keep the reports you rely on
TeamDynamics Solo includes both a TeamDynamics report from your perspective and your CoDynamics. The team estimate uses your answers about how your team behaves; your personal working preferences are shown separately. A coach or professional partner with authorized access can use those reports with you.
Pro combines team members’ perspectives and adds the team comparison, manager coaching, and discussion experience. Both Solo and Pro now share the same visual approach, with layouts that adapt to a phone, tablet, or desktop.
Your familiar downloadable reports remain part of the experience: the Team Profile and individual CoDynamics, plus the Pro Manager Report and Team Discussion Guide. Find them on the results home page or beside the relevant report heading. Request a PDF once; when it’s ready, the download starts. You can also return to download it again.
Existing customers can sign in to revisit their saved results. If you’re exploring TeamDynamics for the first time, the interactive sample results let you try the same experience before choosing Solo or Pro.
The same framework, more ways to use it
There is no universally best TeamDynamics type. The value comes from understanding how your team works, recognizing what that makes easy or difficult, and making deliberate choices together.
Release 26 gives you more help with each of those steps—from a clear first look at your results to a specific change you can try next.
If it’s been a while since you explored your TeamDynamics, now is a great time to jump back in. Revisit your results with fresh eyes, explore your CoDynamics, and choose one change to try with your team.
And if you haven’t discovered your TeamDynamics yet, there’s never been a better time. Explore the new results experience to see what you’ll learn, or find the right TeamDynamics for you and get started.
